Final Week Uploads

Postby alexmcneil » Sat Mar 27, 2010 3:48 pm

Hi,

This is just a quick thread to use as a place to put Final Week files.

As we approach the deadline I think we'll need to share files more frequently, and instead of creating new threads per file I thought everyone could post them here.

Just as a quick reminder, details of how to upload via FTP are here:
http://www.germsoft.com/forum/topic18.html

Or you can upload via the forum, create a new post (or topic) and at the bottom below the Text entry area there is a "Upload attachment" tab, click Browse to find the file and then click the "Add the file" button.

This file will then be uploaded to the forum when you click "Submit". :D

Thanks, Alex.

Hi Aaron,

Here is the updated mesh.cpp with the "Fattness" slider working.

I had to change the event to Slider::EventValueChanged since this is the event for a slider.

Also I had some troubles getting the correct values, e.g. not a good idea to fatten by the slider value, since the model becomes invisible. :(

I'm going to add the second slider now, will update the forum with this code & layout later, for now here is the 1st slider code.

Oh, and you may need to remove the "bin/" from paths... I have to set them this way or the files don't load for some reason.

Feel free to comment with any problems/suggestions.

Thanks, Alex.

Hi Daniel,

Ok, thanks! I'll look at this later... I'll tell Danny too.

Also, I'm going to compile a new binary version of the program to send to Danny later.

Cheers, Alex.

Hey Aaron,

Cool! So when we move the bones, will we be able to move points smoothly? :)

Also I got both sliders working, but probably best to integrate those once you have the bones working, since it's not too difficult to integrate.

Great work everyone... :D

Yep thats the idea anyway, while you will be able to move the mesh smoothly, we might get some tearing etc. depending on how you move the bones.

but certainly an improvement anyway. :)
